Is it Fair??

I have seen Kalloori movie many times. I dont know whether this is sentimental or something else.
But one another scene in the movie which moved me was the scene which involved that little girl selvi, when Shobana goes searching for Muthu. When that little girl Selvi takes Tamanna home.

When Tamanna asks on whether she is studying, she replies with a dejected face that her father had stopped her studies just because her brother wanted to continue with his studies. This situation still prevails in many parts of our country. The girl child are still discriminated and are not allowed to study.
Wake up. The pillars of our country. It is time to stand high and do something. Be the change. Our country needs our help. It is time for action.

2 Choices

In Life most of the time, an individual has to choose between 2 options on whether it is Right or Wrong. And the result of the choice one has made has to be either good or bad. One is not even spared in his/her body parts. It has to be Right Eye and Left Eye, Right Ear and Left Ear, Right Hand and Left Hand, Right Leg and Left Leg. If this is at the outside, then even inside is not spared. The Right Brain and the Left Brain. The Left lung and the right lung. The right kidney and the left kidney. Well i wont go below this. When one has to differentiate in heavenly matter, it is either god or evil. Even while playing a game, the result is either a winner or a loser. When one has to take a turn in road, then it has to be either left or right. Enough...
Now after reading this, you have the decision to make on whether this piece is interesting or boring. After that you can be either happy or angry. You may either congratulate me or plan to hit me. And for your information, i had written 2 consecutive articles in a space of 2 days.

Sari Sari Sari aluga koodathu...

A Battle between Mind and Intellect

4 Years.....
Since i completed my first part of college life. Again when i start afresh, my intellect has gone for a toss. Well it is about my concentration that i am worried about. I still remember the day when i studied for 9 hours continuous without a single break. And now 1.5 hours and 6 breaks in between.. Where am i heading to???

Is my mind gaining control over my Intellect. I will have to stop this at any cost..
The sooner the better!!!

Another Beautiful Day

Today is friendship day and i take this opportunity to wish all a very happy friendship day!!!

I write this because of two important reasons, one i was reminded of one such thought which provoked me to have so many friends in my life and this is the first time that i had really celebrated the Friendship day other than sending sms and wishing each other...
Thanks to Vipul, Chandini, Pravin, Shantanu, Bhawna and Prakruti. Though it was for a short period of 1 hour and a very short one, it was very entertaining.... Believe me, it was the best one could do, that too knowing about these many in such a short span of time...

Now moving on to that particular thought, well i was a very timid guy in my school days...I used to take a lot of time to gel with people unknown to me... i still remember when one of my dad's friend asked me "How are you?", i just smiled trying to show that i am happy and didnt even bother to ask him back...The same thing continued during my first semester of my college days.. I would have been the same guy till now when one my college mate insulted me (I dont want to go into the details). Well that was when i took a resolution that when i come out of the college, i should be known by each and every guy well... That was the turning point...There i took the gaint leap and till today i continue that, to make as many friends as possible and not lose touch with them....

It wouldnt be good if i dont mention about the Hero who made me understand the power of friendship... Touch wood, it is none other than my DAD who still has maintained his friendship with his MCom Classmates for nearly 25-30 years...

Touch wood, Touch wood, Touch wood for all!!!!

Greatest Gift!!!

Nostalgia Nostalgia Nostalgia!!!
Was just seeing Abhiyum Naanum.. Kudos to Director Radha Mohan for having brought out the emotions of relationship well. Just got me back to my childhood days on how my parents would have enjoyed my torture...

No wonder the greatest gift a child can have, are Mom and Dad and a heart to enjoy the relationship.

Mind = Monkey

We had our first lecture on the Intellect today with Mr Siddarth coming down from the Vedantha Academy!!! Before i proceed further, what i am writing down is again a crux of the crux provided. I will have to write down pages and pages if i have to put down what is in my mind. So kindly excuse. Now go ahead to something boring or something interesting. It is in the way you take it to be.

Though i was planning to listen to the whole lecture carefully, my mind took over my Intellect and i was sleeping for most of the lecture. At one situation it was so worse that, the person sitting in front of me was asking a question and i was sleeping nicely. Probably late nights was taking its toll.

Today was basically an awareness creating session. Now what exactly happenned!!!
A general question was put up - Are we all following the herd mentality?? Ya to an extent i can agree to this. Most of the people do what they are doing just because others are doing it or they are being forced to do and which they never want to do. People never muster their courage to do what they want. But let me see that in a different angle, in today's world a person survives only when he is able to bend according to the situations. Now if he doesnt do what other person wants him to do, then he/she is sure to face the axe.

When does this get over or Why does our mind do this...??
Well there are a few reasons as explained by Vedanta folks!!!

- We are so obssessed with our Likes and Dislikes that we dont tend to think outside that. Hatke, is it really bad to have our own tastes. When one says that we need to focus on what we are doing and only when we have our own Likes that we progress faster towards our goal.

- Another one, we always spend time about our past worries and future anxieties. Ya to an extent, i can agree to this but i seriously doubt whether it is really possible for a person to spend time concentrating on the present. Probably yes, for a saint. But are we human beings really prepared to attain that height. and is it feasible in this fast moving world. I dont think so, in fact close to impossible.

- The last was Desire for what you do not have. As John D Rockefeller (First billionaire) had answered for "How much money is enough money?" - Just a little bit more. Well i could seriously support my fullest to this point. We all run behind what we do not have. Though i really understand that a person is never contented with what he/she has, it is always possible for a person to control his/ her desires to an extent...

Well this was just the starting... Let us see what happens in the future (i meant our classes).
