CHITTI = 1000 ARIMA

After Ages i am writing a blog because of a movie and just a day before my exam. Well i just couldnt help it. CHITTI the ROBO has made me pen this down...

A big production name which has the money to invest how much ever the movie demands, a mastermind director who has been slowly nurturing his child project for 10 long years, an actor who is known for his style, action and punch dialogues, the one who has proven his acting skills numerous times, the one who is treated as GOD in Tamil Cinema, the one who is growing younger and younger as he ages, a music director who has taken an Avatar in this world just for the word music and just creates magic with his hands. When all these big tycoons join hands, then you can except the magnanimity of the project. For a long time in the history of Indian Cinema, no team had the guts to go this far and invest large for a movie. But for the first time ever, this team has really created the magic. They have elevated the Indian Cinema to the next level. This movie had the power of 1000 ARIMA. The director got his every move right. Every chosen character in and/or for this movie both on screen and off screen were simply perfect. No others could have replaced them. No words could just fit in to describe this movie. You just need to sit and watch the movie to experience it.

In short, A movie of sheer technical brilliance. It is a visual treat.
THIS MOVIE IS AN EXPERIENCE.

A day in the life of Student and Professor in College

Student:
Shit yaar, another day of boring lecture.
Sala firangi, i dont understand what he talks.
Upar se right from the first day of my college i have been hearing the same gyan. I would have heard this 100 times and he is going to repeat the same today.
i dont know what he thinks of himself.
udar ka sabse kachada lecturer hoga.. idar bahoot bada dikha raha hai...
i am just waiting for the 10 sessions to get over...
aaj bhi i will go at 11.55 jab 5 min rah jayega for the attendance.. Attendance deke bhaag jaunga....

Professor:
I feel especially powerful today.
I should make the session more interesting so that i can capture the attention of all the students.
There is something lacking in my presentation. Am i not able to reach the students or is it because my presentation lacks content. Let me make the power point more attractive, let me add more content which will benefit the students.
I dont understand why the students fail to make it in the morning. Is it because of the early timing. They are doing their MBA, they should be ready for any such challenges.
If i can instill in them something new today, that might interest the students and they might attend my classes regularly from tomorrow.
Today i should deliver a powerful lecture. Let me see what best i can give to the students.

The day ends a big failure for both the students and the Professor.

Strange!!!!

Lecture!! Lecture!! Lecture!!
This is what i have to hear for the next 1 year. An incident occurred today. I had to attend a corporate law lecture. The faculty was a young lady probably in her late 20's or early 30's. She did lay down some conditions in the class. "People not interested can mark their attendance and leave the class". This was not the only one she told, but this was the main rule(as far as we students were concerned). As usual, we started shouting break in just 45 mins of commencement of the class whereas most of the faculties give a break after 1.5 hours. She obliged asking us to take a break for 5 mins.
The irony was, half of the class just marked their attendance and started walking out with their bags. The reason might have been many, urgent work or had to go out or anything else. but isnt it the basic responsibility of a student to respect the teacher. And it was not that the faculty was not good. She was quite knowlegeable.
I am pretty much confused. Was it because of the age factor or was she not delivering to the fullest of her ability (according to those students) or was it because of her short stature or the students felt the course was not that important in life or etc etc....
The same applies to the world today. People in the name of being practical have forgotten the need for following some basic principles that are necessary to be a successful human being.

Is it a Generation for a Specialist or Generalist????

It has been a long time since i wrote something. I should be thankful for the wonderful insights provided by Mr Prashant and Mr Ravi today. That 2 hours meeting with them has forced me to scribble down my thoughts.
I would like to steal a small example stated by Mr Prashant. How do we clean clothes? By using Washing Machine or by taking the pains ourselves. A company came up with a brilliant idea of removing the dirt using bubbles. They would break the bond on/inside/between the dirt to get it removed. If this comes into picture, then there would be no use of a Washing machine. This was the technology adopted from a Car manufacturing company. The company wouldnt have achieved this unless they had a knowledge on the the process followed in the car manufacturing company. A person would have certainly come up with this idea of adapting the technology. He/She couldnt have thought about this unless they had a knowledge on things going on around them.
Another way of looking at this. The company would have recruited that person who should have been a specialist in research activities. Unless he had the knack of looking things that way, he wouldnt have given a thought in that angle.
I have always heard this saying. A person can get things done quickly if he can utilize his surroundings to his/her advantage. To manufacture a car, i need not know the details of each and every part of the car, but i just need to know from where i can procure these things so that i can instruct my team to get them and assemble it to manufacture a car. But i should definitely know what the car after manufacturing would look like or how it would function. I believe this is going to be a generation for those who can be a specialist with a worldly knowledge and what they dont teach you at Harvard (Common Sense).

P.S -->
1. Mr Prashant and Mr Ravi - Thalaivargal.
2. I have not exlplained the process in detail as i didnt feel like writing so much. :D :D :D

Multi Heroine Subject - Who is the real Heroine?????

How do you figure out who is the actual heroine to be paired with the hero if it is a multi heroine subject. It is actually simple.
Did you see Vallavan. Simbu falls in for Nayantara (Not the one in Nan Kadavul). Did you ever notice the other 2. Sandhya and Reema Sen. Worst ever make up. I wonder why those 2 didnt protest...
In Theeratha Vilayattu Pillai, the beauty in Sarah Jane was brought up more than Neetu Chandra or Tanushree Dutta...

Here lies the answer. Figure out who is made to look the most beautiful of the bunch. You will get your answer...

New Born is always kept on the left hand side of the mother

I was watching a movie day before. There was a particular scene in which a child is born and after a few scene cuts, the child is crying laying on the left side of the mom. It just triggered a thought as to why a child when born is put on the left hand side of the mom. Though this has crossed my mind many a times, but i have never taken the pains to find out why it was the case. Day before, my intellect forced my mind to look into this.

Well the reason is quite simple. A child when kept on the left hand side sleeps peacefully and is in sound mind. When a child is inside mother's womb, it keeps on hearing the heartbeats of his/her mom. Even if there is a slight increase or decrease in the number of beats, then it sends out the danger signal to the child and the child starts feeling uncomfortable. When a child is born, it needs to hear the same beats in order to be in peace.

This is definitely not mine, Who else can i get the information from......

I am feeling sad

I am feeling sad because people in this world dont understand me,
I am feeling sad because people of my country dont understand me,
I am feeling sad because people in this state dont understand me,
I am feeling sad because people in my city dont understand me,
I am feeling sad because people in my location dont understand me,
I am feeling sad because my friends dont understand me,
I am feeling sad because my close ones dont understand me,

What is the use of feeling sad when you dont understand any of them.

Change your mindset.

Stay on Ground!!!

Q: What is a Machine?

Defn 1: Machine is anything that reduces human effort.

Defn 2: Machines are any combination of bodies so connected that something something relative motion something something. Well i dont remember the full definition.

I am sure not one would have missed this dialogue. It is from 3 Idiots. Is it a fact that Engineers love to complicate things. I believe it is not the case with Engineers alone, it is the case with everyone. Bada Chadakae bolne ka maza hi alag hai. No one including you understands what you have just uttered. Recently I had gone to Nirma University for a competition. We had to identify some problems and suggest solutions for that. We were competing with one of the top Institutes in India IIM-A. Well when the question was straight forward, the guy from IIM-A brought out so many things which were irrelevant and till the end i couldnt figure out what he had said and in what way was it connected to the question posted. The irony was IIM-A won the competition. Day before when i was working out solution for a problem, i got the same comment from my friend. "Engineers love to complicate things." He was probably right. There could have been more than 1 solution to that. But still, probably my brain was trained that way. Is it that there is something wrong with our education system or is it the way we enjoy saying things in a hyped manner so that the other person thinks that we are one of the blessed ones to have this much knowledge. Well it is something to ponder upon. But better stay on ground with your legs steadily grounded rather than flying high and getting hurt falling down later.

Valentine's Day

14th Morning

A wonderful day for all. I was no exception in experiencing that great day. Though for many, it was a lovers day out. For me, it was a Friends day out. After 2 days of preparation and aweful execution, i needed some kind of stress buster. A long walk along with my 2 close friends around the Nirma University campus really rejuvenated my mind. We were supposed to start to Pavagad early morning that day. But unfortunately due to my love for sleep, i couldnt get up which forced us to cancel the plan. I was feeling bad for not having explored the campus even after 2.5 days of stay there. When i asked my friends, they readily agreed (nothing new). Though only for a very short time of 2 hours, it did drain out all the tensions of India (That day was a great day).

Yesterday Vs Tomorrow

Air Pollution - Because of the harmful emission of gases by the turbines, nu solla aasayathaan iruku. Oru flow ku nalla thaan irukum. But it is because of the same effect by the vehicles on road.
Sound Pollution - Silla Sandai Sacharava veetla irukarathu arasiyalla sagajam appa but it is because of the 24 hours honking vehicles.
Bread jam vida koduramanathu inda Traffic Jam.
Being a college going student in a busy busy busy city, i get to experience them daily.
But yesterday when i was taking a walk along the roads of my village at around 7, it was all silent. I very rarely heard a sound, that too mostly of the cycle bell. Very calm streets with very few people moving around. The fresh cold air blowing across my face, the aroma of the earth filling m nose. To add an icing to the cake, there was a power cut (no no ethum thappu nadakala.) and i was guided by the moonlight (nadakarathukuthaan). I have no clue as to when i will get to experience these all again, but it just goes down in my books as a memory. When i get up tomorrow, i will be ready to face the fast moving world. I will have to get adjusted to the same fast walk from home to college in the heavy traffic to bear the lectures and the lecturers. And off course to meet my friendsssssssssssssssssssssssssss whom i had missssssssssssseeeeeeeddddddddddddd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The nearer, the farther. The farther, the nearer.

I was watching a television show in Vijay tv which Gopi was hosting. A realisation was put forth to the Ayarathil Oruvan crew. The movie had made a guy to read about his hometown Tanjore. This is not the first time that something like this is happening. When something is nearer to us, we seldom care about that. In fact we dont even care to bother about that. But we are very much eager to know more about things which are very far from us. Well many of us know about the egyptian mummies, but if the same question is asked about the Ahgori's of Kasi, many of us would just blink as if they were asked a question about some other universe in existence. Even i wouldnt have known until i saw the movie Nan Kadavul. I was taking a stroll with my friend in the streets near my college. His mom had asked him to visit a temple and he had not done that. The best part was the temple was just 5 mins walk from our college and he was staying there for nearly 6 months. Is this take it for granted attitude going to help us. Why others, let me take my own example. The National Library (The largest library of our Country.) was just 2 mins from my home in Kolkata. But i never bothered to go there. But there are exceptions in my case, One is the restaurant and the other is the Cinema theatre. I have never hesitated to go there because i like both or may be that was one of my way of passing time. Even Humans are not spared. When a customer goes to a shop to buy something, the shopkeeper would be more than keen to help him. When the same help is needed at home, it rarely happens. This attitude is not going to help us in any way as things get farther, we feel a slight tinge of pain of not having acknowledged that.

Good Morning or Good Night

Starting Sun rays, Winter chillness, Bed Horlics, Blinking Mobile, Grandmom's Sundry (Tamil one. I dont know the English Version.), the list goes on............
This is the effect of getting up early in the morning.
But how can i not acknowledge the satisfaction of getting up late.
Moms/Dads pleading/scolding/threatening to wake us up,
Mom/Dad 2 more minutes, i will get up surely and taking more than 2 hours to get up,
reading all the messages that was bombarded in the cell,
taking a hot afternoon bath,
eating lunch as if you have not seen food for many days,
a short nap for 3-4 hours after lunch.
Oh my, why should i miss all these comfort of getting up late. I know every individual has his/her preference, BUT......................................................

Drive or Fly

After so many wishful days, my long time wish was going to be realized. I was given the huge responsibility of delivering an important parcel in chennai. My long time wish was to fly an aircraft and that day i had got the chance to choose an aircraft of my choice and fly it to chennai single handedly from mumbai. I accepted the offer immediately with my 32 flashing close up smile. Each cell of my body was roaring to get into the aircraft and enjoy the fly. I got my things ready for the journey. The moment was nearing and i was too excited. I bid goodbye to all those present there. There i was, me and my vehicle standing tall. It was all mine. I was going to fly it all alone. I thanked the one for this wonderful opportunity and kept my right foot in. I felt like a King, sitting on the seat. After checking the basic controls, i was all set to fly. I started the engine. The sense of fulfilment ran all across my body. The runaway was all in my front. I was moving the aircraft, slowly increasing the speed. I had brought the aircraft to top speed and was about to take off, when i realized that the aircraft had developed some technical glitch. I applied the brakes immediately. That woke me up from my day dream and brought me back to my senses. I was just driving an ALTO. And the important parcel was nothing but the sweets which i had got for my grandma. I was just going to my moms native from my dads. And my ivalo build up ethuku, my long time wish was to just drive a car as it had been 6 long months since i had experienced the car drive at 100. And i had to apply the brakes immediately because of a stupid error committed by an auto driver in front. Though i had just driven an Alto, the feel was the same as to fly an aircraft. At last, i reached my grandma's place to experience another shower of love.

Missed!!!

Ithu oru kevalamana -------, but still natpukaaga....summa lulolaiku....

You miss,
They miss.
If you dont miss,
You dont know miss.
Miss is not the Ms,
but Miss is the miss of presence and essence of friendship.

Powerful tool for Presentation

After a recent goof up in a presentation, i was just self introspecting as to how to improve my quality of presentations in every possible way.
This just struck my mind. Not sure how far it will help.

Main problem that everyone faces while presenting, is the stage fear and the fear of so many audiences. Even experienced speakers have a little tinge of fear when they go on stage. It is kinda inevitable. But one such tool can really reduce the impact.

It is simple yet a powerful tool.

IMAGINATION.

When you go on stage, just imagine that you are addressing a group of buffoons or a group of cartoon characters. How would it feel to address those cartoon characters. Wont it reduce the tension multifold? Or Just imagine you are standing on the roof top and proposing a girl (for guys. For girls it is the other way. If it is the same, i have no comments.). It can go on and on. Training you mind is difficult, but when done it makes our job much easier.

I am yet to try it out. Go ahead and try it, I am sure it will be fun.
