Loop Holes ??? I got to understand it today!!!!

On a day when everyone was sitting at home relaxed or on the streets making the blue sky cloudy, i was one of the very fortunate or unfortunate soul to attend my classes today. But i got something which was unexpected. Todays class was about Indirect Taxes and the Professor was Mr Harish Motwani. One advantage of him taking the class was, he was from the Industry and for many examples he was citing his own experiences from the Industry which were nice to hear. He did get a chance to start with Excise duty but unfortunately we didnt allow him to complete that topic. The main reason was it did start with a simple introduction that the tax is levied on people/companies/etc etc who manufacture goods. But as it went on, the small "manufacture" word kept on unfolding to such an extent that at one point of time, i was so tired of listening to that word. Because it was going micro minute and it was becoming difficult for me to digest all that in one session. And i was just wondering Are we Indians so brilliant or the Indian Govt so -----(well i dont want to mention it as it is contempt of the indian govt law). One main thing that i could gather from the lecture was that the Indian laws are the most complex in the whole world. But why has it to be so complex concentrating on so many minute things. Well one reason might be, if the indian laws are not so strict then we Indians are so sharp that we could always find out ways to evade those taxes. Well this is hapenning when the law is so strict, why cant it happen then. The corruption practices have gone wayward that if at all the govt makes the law easier, these people would certainly swallow the govt.
